Packages include: Photographer’s time, a professional second shooter/lighting assistant for weddings larger than 25 people; photo planning assistance provided by our studio manager; professional camera and lighting gear and a full set of back-up equipment; professional color correction; DVDs of high-resolution jpegs of all images; all images in both black & white and color; and online proofing. You are free to take your discs to the photo lab of your choice, though your friends and family may appreciate the convenience of being able to order prints online.
Photo Planning Assistance: Our studio manager, Michelle Solomon, will work with you to put together the schedule of your day, making sure that you have enough time for all of the photographs that are important to you. We will help you create a list of family portraits, find beautiful locations for photo sessions, determine the likely lighting given the time of day and year, and come up with a rain plan.
Equipment: If you are getting married in a venue that does not allow flash photography, you can rest assured that we will still capture beautiful images of your ceremony, as our photographers use the Canon 5D Mark II, the state-of-the-art camera for low-light situations. Please note that our photographers always come equipped with lighting equipment in case of inclement weather.
Additional Photographer: For weddings of 25 or more, our photographers are accompanied by a second shooter. The second shooter will assist the lead photographer when needed, but will generally shoot about 75% of the time. You can hire a dedicated second shooter who has no assisting responsibilities for $100/hour or for a flat rate of $500 for up to 8 hours of coverage. If photos of your table settings, floral arrangements, seating cards, favors, and the like are particularly important to you, we recommend hiring a dedicated shooter for 1 hour to capture these, on tripod, fully lit, before your reception begins and your guests interact with these elements.
About Editing: We edit very loosely, meaning you will receive 1,500 – 2,000 images, depending upon hours of coverage. In order to help you review so many, we create a “Favorites” folder of the best 10% of images. Elopements and intimate weddings do not receive a Favorites folder, as their shorter length means the photos are easier to go through.
About Retouching: The images you receive from us are all color corrected, and we crop and straighten when necessary. We provide more extensive retouching of all images that will be included in an album. If you would like additional retouching of particular images, we can provide that a la carte.
