Photo Location

Wormsloe

The famous oak avenue

A long sand road under an arch of live oaks. I photographed Megan and Nate's wedding here, plus a lot of engagement sessions.

The Georgia State Parks Wormsloe weddings page says, as I write this, that Wormsloe is currently not doing weddings. It still lists packages, so call or email the site to ask about your date before you plan around it. Portrait sessions are a separate question. The page lists a $25 photographer permit.

When To Go

It is a drive from downtown, so give it its own block of time. The site's posted hours run 9 am to 5 pm, which matters a lot in summer, when the best light comes later. There is no indoor space, so have a rain plan.
