The Lowcountry

a Sailcloth Tent under the moss

A white and gold church, then a tent on the lawn under the live oaks.

Couple small beneath a huge moss covered oak on the lawn

Lowcountry light under moss is hard to beat, and this lawn had plenty of both. Alyson and John Michael married in a white and gold church, then came outside to a green lawn, big oaks and water just past the trees.

That train took up a lot of grass, and I was happy about it. When a dress does that you step way back and let the oak and the train share the frame.

The Tent

A sailcloth tent glows when the sun gets low, so I always try to catch one from outside before the guests go in. Peach and cream flowers, blue crystal glasses and a tall white cake at night finished it off. The little things count too, like the rings resting in gold rimmed oyster shells.
